The Great Wave off Kanagawa, also known as The Great Wave or The Wave, is a woodblock print by the Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai. Originally created in 1831 during the Edo period, it was the first print in Hokusai's series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
The iconic image depicts a large wave threatening boats near the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa. The work has become a globally-recognized symbol of Japanese art and culture.

PRODUCT DETAILS

Each print is produced on acid-free archival matte paper, providing a high-quality, almost card-like feel. In technical terms, the paper weight is 10mil/200gsm, making it ideal for framing.

The frame is not included in the price of the print.

All posters are measured in cm, except posters for North America, which will be converted to inches. For US/Canada, please refer to the imperial size when ordering (in inches).

When a print is shown with a white border, the final print size (e.g. 50x70 cm) will include the borders. Print size = artwork + borders.

The final colours of the print may vary slightly from those displayed on the screen due to differences in colour rendering between digital displays and printed materials.
